"Grace"
The word grace
is the English translation of the Greek work
“charis.” Charis is defined in Strong’s Exhaustive
Concordance of The Bible as “graciousness” of manner
or act, the divine influence on the heart, and its
reflection in the life” In its most basic form, grace
is the providing of a gratuity, real or perceived,
from a person or persons to another person or
persons. Further, the benefit may be tangible or
intangible and provide for actual need or selfish
desire.
The test of the Gospel is grace. If our version of his message… as “Christians,” excludes grace, or mingles law with grace as the means of justification or sanctification then we have failed our Savior. We have created a barrier between the Hope He offers through His free flowing grace and those so desperately seek to find it and know Him. People need to see and hear the Jesus who is “full of grace and truth”. People’s lives are beaten down enough. They don’t need more of it from us. They need Jesus…
We are but Thirsty Beggars who need to be showing the other Thirsty Beggars where the life saving living water is!
