was recently invited to speak at an upcoming Men’s Conference and I was asked to write a brief statement of my passion for ministry and as I sat down to write something up, all I could think was, Hey, I actually believe this stuff!… His word and His promises… The truth is that He totally wrecked my life with James 1:22, “Do not merely listen to the word and so deceive yourself. Do what it say.” and I wouldn’t turn back for anything! I will never be Jesus, I couldn’t even hold the sandals of Moses but I can be the most amazing Scott that God made me to be.
 
I believe we are living in a time like none other, a time of great uncertainty in the world and a time of great harvest and He, this God of ours, this Jesus, has instilled in me a passion to share what I have come to know. I have often thought that were it possible for me to allow for someone else to know and to feel, for just one moment, the joy, love and the peace of Christ that is in my heart; if that were possible, they would want to keep that feeling forever. However, it doesn’t work that way so it is my responsibility, as a man of God, as a follower of Christ, to go and show and share and tell of the love of Jesus and to expose all who cross my path to that joy, love and peace so that they too may know.
